Remington Matters delivered the fit-out for Preston’s Deli, a new-wave sandwich bar on Perth’s Bulwer Street. Defined by polished concrete floors and contrasting metal finishes, the space has a streamlined, Brutalist-inspired aesthetic, softened by warm timber accents and undulating forms.
We designed and manufactured all seating and tables, along with the waved bar counter and custom timber casings for the wall-mounted speakers. The Pinnacles chair, with its distinctive circular perforations, was adapted into bench seating for the project, paired with custom bistro tables and MF chairs in European oak. Outside, Pinnacles stools line the footpath anchored by built-in circular tables.
The bar counter is the focal point of the space, fabricated from 0.9 mm stainless steel, rolled at irregular intervals to introduce softness into an otherwise hard-edged interior.
Brought to life by Remington Matters alongside a wider team of graphic designers, fabricators and local makers, the sleek, cohesive interior complements Preston’s ever-evolving menu of Euro-inspired and nostalgic Aussie offerings.
