When culturally iconic streetwear retailer Highs and Lows decided to expand their heritage-listed King Street flagship store to include a whole new level dedicated to womenswear, Remington Matters was enlisted to fitout the loft-style interior, delivering the assured lines, modern sophistication and creative attitude synonymous with both brands.
The 165m2 retail space was transformed with tonal timbers and brushed steel. Floor-to-ceiling recessed displays showcase clothing and footwear—modular in style for ceramics and objects, steel for eyewear and perfumes. A large boxed jewellery case was constructed from reclaimed blocks of frosted-glass, with chunky raw timber bench seating underscoring a triptych of white sash windows. Alongside an aluminum-topped sales counter with seamless storage is the inclusion of a rectangular timber-planked product display table (also functioning as communal seating), boldly accentuated in the colour red.
